Follow these simple steps to set up your digital co-pilot and start maximizing your earnings.
When you launch the app for the first time, you will see a series of Android prompts.
- Select "Allow while using the app" for Location.
- Select "Allow" for Camera and Microphone.
NOTE: If you accidentally hit "Deny," you can fix this later in your phone's System Settings under Apps > DriveTracker.
Before you earn your first dollar, tell the app what you are aiming for:
- Look at the bottom navigation bar and tap Settings (the gear icon on the far right).
- In the Financial Configuration section, tap the box for Weekly Earnings Goal.
- Type in your goal (e.g.,
1000.00).
- Tap Driving Days Per Week and enter how many days you plan to work (e.g.,
5).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap the big blue SAVE SETTINGS button.
PRO TIP: Look at the top right of the screen—you'll see your new Daily Goal has been automatically calculated!
- Tap Home on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the big green START DRIVING button.
- The button will turn red and say DONE DRIVING, and the mile counter will begin.
- You can now switch to your rideshare app (Uber/Lyft). DriveTracker will stay awake in the background.
*(Pro Feature) If you are a Pro user, a floating bubble with a car and dollar sign icon will appear on your screen when you switch away from the app.
- Stay Connected: The bubble serves as a reminder that DriveTracker is actively recording your miles and earnings in the background.
- Move it: Drag the bubble anywhere on your screen so it doesn't block your GPS or navigation.
- Quick Return: Simply tap the bubble at any time to jump straight back into the main dashboard to see your live miles, time, and hourly average..
When you finish your shift:
- Open DriveTracker and tap DONE DRIVING.
- A Session Summary window will appear.
- To Log Manually: Tap the boxes for Earnings, Gas, or Tolls and type the amounts.
- To Log by Voice (Pro): Tap the Microphone icon at the top right and say: "I made 150 dollars, 20 in gas, and 5 in tolls."
- Tap SAVE SESSION. Your data is now saved to your history!
*(Pro Feature) To ensure you never lose your records:
- Go back to Settings.
- Scroll to Cloud Backup & Restore.
- Tap BACKUP. Follow the prompts to link your Google account.
- Your data is now safely stored in your private Google Drive folder.
