The Performance tab is where your raw driving data becomes a business strategy. By analyzing your trends, you can identify your most profitable days and prepare your records for tax season with one tap.
To view your business performance:
- Look at the bottom navigation bar and tap the Performance icon (the bar chart symbol).
- At a glance, you will see your Total Earnings, Net Profit, and Average Hourly Rate for the current month.
Pro Tip (ZFold 7): Use the large internal screen to view the bar charts in high detail. You can easily compare weeks or months to see when you are making the most money.
You can drill down into your history to see specific time periods:
- Use the Dropdown Menus at the top of the screen to select a specific Month or Year.
- The charts and totals will update instantly to reflect only the data from that period.
- This is perfect for reviewing "Last Month's" performance or preparing for a specific tax quarter.
One of DriveTracker’s most powerful features is the ability to create a "Ready-for-Accountant" PDF report.
- While in the Performance tab, select the month or year you need a report for.
- Tap the Print icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- A preview of your Expense & Earnings Report will appear.
- From here, you can Save as PDF to your phone, email it to your tax preparer, or print it wirelessly.
PRIVACY SHIELD: To keep your business records professional, your personal "Session Notes" are automatically excluded from the printed report. Your accountant sees the numbers; your private thoughts stay private.
- Gross Earnings: Every dollar you collected before expenses.
- Expenses: The sum of your Gas, Food, Tolls, and Misc costs.
- Net Profit: What you actually took home. (Gross - Expenses).
- Tax Benefit: The estimated deduction you've earned based on your total mileage and the current government rate.
If you need to do deep math in Excel or Google Sheets, you can export your data raw:
- Navigate to the Performance tab.
- Tap the Download icon (next to the print icon).
- DriveTracker will generate a .csv file containing all your data for the selected period.
- Choose where to save the file on your device or send it directly to your email/cloud storage.
