Welcome to GigEZ ("Application," "App," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using GigEZ, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install, access, or use the Application.
GigEZ is a mobile productivity and tracking application designed for independent contractors, rideshare drivers, and gig economy workers. The App provides tools to manually or automatically record vehicle mileage, log business expenses, set earnings targets, and track estimated income.
GigEZ is an informational tool and does not provide formal tax, accounting, financial, or legal advice.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use GigEZ.
Accuracy of Data: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and categorization of all data you enter, import, or record within the App (including odometer readings, trip logs, receipt images, and expense amounts).
Account Security: If you create an account or back up your data to a cloud service, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Informational Purposes Only: All reports, mileage logs, expense totals, and tax deduction estimates generated by GigEZ are provided strictly for general informational and personal record-keeping purposes.
IRS and Tax Authority Compliance: Tax laws, standard mileage rates, and deduction rules vary by jurisdiction and are subject to change. GigEZ does not guarantee that your records will be audited, accepted, or approved by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), state tax authorities, or any other government agency.
Professional Consultation: You should always review your financial records and tax filings with a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA), tax professional, or attorney before filing taxes or claiming business deductions.
No Distracted Driving: You agree never to operate, configure, or manually interact with GigEZ while operating a moving motor vehicle.
Hands-Free Compliance: You must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding the use of mobile devices and hands-free driving equipment.
Liability: We assume no responsibility or liability for any traffic violations, accidents, personal injuries, collisions, or property damage resulting from the use or misuse of the App while driving.
No Affiliation: GigEZ is an independent software application. It is not endorsed, sponsored, affiliated with, or partnered with Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Grubhub, or any other third-party gig, rideshare, or delivery platform.
Platform Terms: Using GigEZ does not alter, replace, or satisfy any independent contractor agreements or terms of service you have entered into with third-party gig platforms.
All software, code, user interface designs, graphics, logos, and features in GigEZ are the exclusive property of the App developer and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to download and use the App for personal or business record-keeping purposes on your supported Android device. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, distribute, or sell any portion of the App.
Depending on your settings, your data may be stored locally on your device or synchronized with remote database servers.
While we strive to implement industry-standard security and backup practices, you are solely responsible for regularly backing up and exporting your mileage and expense records. We are not liable for data loss caused by hardware failure, operating system updates, app uninstallation, or accidental deletion.
If GigEZ offers paid features, premium tiers, or subscriptions, all billing is processed directly through Google Play in accordance with Google Play’s Terms of Service.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring cycle (monthly or annually). You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.
Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play’s standard refund policies.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GIGEZ IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM BUGS OR GPS TRACKING INACCURACIES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS, OWNERS, OR AFFILIATES OF GIGEZ BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, AUDIT PENALTIES, TAX DEFICIENCIES, REVENUE LOSS, OR VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APPLICATION.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (IF ANY) TO USE THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, third parties, or the security of the App. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling and deleting the App from your device.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on the App’s Google Play Store listing page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of GigEZ after any revisions constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
